I am Retta Martin, I was born in Blanco in 1937 in the home where I now live and have my office. Right in downtown Blanco!!! I have been licensed as a salesperson since 1980 and have worked with Ray Merz and Texas Proud Real Estate for 2 1/2 years. I moved around a lot in my life and returned to my favorite place in the world, the Hill Country in 1974. I retired from the Texas State Comptroller's Office in 1997 and have been active in not only real estate but also as a city councilwoman, formed Keep Blanco Beautiful, worked on the Blanco Comprehensive Master Plan and have continued to work to implement the Downtown Revitalization/Historic Preservation plans. I also work with the Chamber of Commerce on Economic Development. I am secretary/treasurer of The Blanco Historic Commission and work with the Visionaries in Preservation Project. |
